백만명의 군중이 광화문에 모여 역사를 바꾸려고 모였을때 우리 가족은 트리플래닛 스타트업에서 주최하는 “북으로 보내는 숲” 조성식에 참가하여 통일 대한민국을 준비하는 의미있는 시간을 보냈습니다.
As a crowd of one million people gathered at Gwanghwamun to change history, my family participated in the “Forest to the North” planting ceremony organized by Tree Planet Startup to prepare for a unified Korea.
인천 드림파크가 만들어진 쓰레기 매립지에 나무를 심어 북한으로 보내는 의미있는 행사였는데 벌목이 심해서 북한의 산들에는 나무가 많이 사라져 여러가지 환경문제가 있다는 것을 알게 되었습니다. 쓰레기매립지에 나무를 심어 숲을 만들어서 오염된 땅을 살리는 일이라 가족과 함께 일일체험을 하고 왔습니다. 아이들에게도 나무를 심는 방법도 가르치고 나무를 심는 경험을 통해 생명의 소중함도 알게하니 매우 유익했던 시간이었습니다.
It was a meaningful event to plant trees in the landfill where Incheon Dream Park was built and send them to North Korea, but I learned that there are many environmental problems in the mountains of North Korea due to heavy logging. We planted trees in the landfill to create a forest and save the polluted land, so I had a one-day experience with my family. I also taught my children how to plant trees and learned the importance of life through the experience of planting trees, so it was a very beneficial time.
눈 앞에 문제에 빠져있기 보다 미래를 준비하는 사람이 되기를 바라며 저 나무들이 희망이 되어 북에 심겨지기를 바랍니다.
I hope that those trees will be planted in the north as a sign of hope, and I hope that we will be people who prepare for the future rather than dwell on the problems in front of us.
