The Golden Time of Wealth was a book that clearly explained the flow of money and investment strategies during the COVID era from a macroeconomic perspective. It was especially helpful in understanding the history and behind-the-scenes stories of the U.S. Federal Reserve’s monetary policy, as well as the trends in the global economy. Above all, its explanation of the economic changes in 2020 caused by COVID and its impact on financial markets opened my eyes, as I had been quite ignorant about economics. As I recently began stock investing and developed an interest in economics, society, and investment opportunities, encountering this book was perfectly timed.
It served as a great guide to understanding the peculiar economic situation where, even during the worst real economy conditions, real estate and stock markets (especially the U.S. stock market) thrive. It also provided insights into what investment strategies to adopt now, amidst the severe economic impact of COVID-19. While past theories alone cannot perfectly explain current and future economic phenomena, I became convinced that opportunities clearly exist within the seemingly complex changes—from recurring booms and busts, central bank interest rate policies, to cryptocurrency. If one can ride this wave well, where traditional industries decline and new industries accelerate, it seems possible to gain a favorable position within the opportunity of ‘wealth redistribution’.
While one should typically act only after thorough consideration, as I always have, I trusted my intuition and my own analysis to pursue investments and new ventures. Had I realized this earlier this year, I could have achieved much greater profits and results, but I believe now is the most appropriate timing for my situation. Thus, I concurrently invest in gold, stocks, funds, and cryptocurrency while launching a car camping rental business.
