People with two jobs are often called “two-jobbers,” and those with three are called “three-jobbers.” Recently, a new term has emerged beyond this: “N-jobbers,” referring to people juggling multiple careers simultaneously. While this term seems to apply mainly to professional freelancers, I too run a personal parcel delivery business, engage in global business development, and trade cryptocurrency—enough to call myself an “N-jobber.”
My day begins daily at 4:30 AM, checking the cryptocurrency market situation. I watch broadcasts by professional YouTubers active in countries like Dubai, the US, and New Zealand, receiving chart analysis and news briefings. Operating across different time zones, they deliver the hottest news like correspondents dispatched around the globe. Listening to analyses from former traders and high-net-worth individuals like MMcrypto, Bitboy Crypto, and Lark Davis, I formulate my own hypotheses and craft trading strategies. Last year, I was making early morning deliveries across all of Incheon six days a week, only trading during brief stops. Now, I respond to the market with greater focus from home.
The quiet dawn hours are precious time for organizing my thoughts. I write reviews of books I’ve read, meditate on Bible verses, or jot down reflections on investment experiences in my blog. Knowledge gained from audiobooks tends to evaporate if not recorded, so I leave short book reviews to gauge the depth of my understanding. Categorizing these records and sharing them with others brings me great joy. Next, I check orders for side dishes on the Incheon e-um shopping mall, place orders, and handle customer service. I feel deep gratitude for transitioning from a physically demanding dawn delivery job that took me across all of Incheon for a year to my current role as a shopping mall manager.
From 7 a.m., I update myself on the latest issues via YouTube while taking a walk in Moonlight Park. Walking towards the rising sun during my sunrise exercise is both the source of energy that sustains me through the day and a great reward. After exercising, I finish household chores and prepare breakfast. Waking the children and taking the youngest to daycare takes me past 8 AM. At 9 AM, I arrive at the office boasting Songdo’s best ocean view and begin my work at the Agora Korea branch in earnest. I focus on global technical support tasks, such as reporting on business meetings with headquarters and responding to customer support on the Slack channel.
I also dedicate myself to finding potential clients, akin to ‘searching for a needle in a haystack,’ scouring LinkedIn and Salesforce to create new opportunities. Business meetings are primarily held in Seoul or Pangyo. Even in this era of video conferencing, I insist on visiting in person. This goes beyond simply introducing the service; it builds trust by showing the presence of a dedicated Korea branch representative and facilitates smooth communication with the headquarters’ technical team. While many startup representatives today have excellent English skills, eliminating the need for interpretation, I strive to convey every subtle nuance accurately from the customer’s perspective.
In the afternoon, I visit the apartment complex in Songdo where my parents work as parcel delivery assistants to lend a hand. Sweating alongside them and treating them to a delicious lunch brings me the greatest sense of fulfillment and happiness. At 6 PM, I begin one of my main jobs: parcel collection. I scan items and load them onto the truck until 7 PM. After completing loading duties at the logistics terminal around 8 PM, I finally head home around 9 PM. I spend time with my youngest son over a late-night snack, put him to bed, and then tackle unanswered emails and social media updates. At 11 PM, I finally wrap up my long day listening to an audiobook through my headphones.
I view the world through three lenses: as a sole proprietor, an employee, and an investor. This journey, spanning the physical economy’s front lines to digital asset markets and global IT business, fuels my constant growth. A life spent building knowledge while commuting and refining that knowledge into records at dawn. Today, I love this dynamic, rich life as a multi-jobber and await tomorrow’s dawn.
