캐나다 국적의 한국인 선교사님의 이슬람교와 모하메드 선지자의 실체에 대한 특강은 매우 충격적이었습니다. 쿠란에 나온 여러 기록들과 이슬람 종교의 가르침 그리고 예수님 이후 하나님이 보내신 최후의 선지자이자 완벽한 인간이라고 믿는 모하메드에 대한 공부를 하면서 그들의 역사를 배웠습니다. 유대교를 본 따 만든 교리와 이교도들에 대한 증오로 가득한 내용이 쿠란에 가득하다는 선교사님의 설명과 그 증거자료들을 보면서 확인할 수 있었습니다.
I was shocked to learn about Islam and the reality of the Prophet Mohammed from a Korean missionary in Canada. We learned about the history of the religion, the teachings of the Islamic religion, and Mohammed, who is believed to be the last prophet sent by God after Jesus and a perfect human being. The missionary’s explanation that the Quran is full of doctrines modeled after Judaism and full of hatred for infidels was confirmed by the evidence we saw.
I was also baffled to learn that the first historical record of the Prophet Muhammad, the founder of the Islamic religion, was 200 years after his death, and that Mecca, the holy city of Islam, didn’t appear anywhere in ancient history in the 700s. Crucially, I realized that Islam is a religion of plagiarism and fabrication when I learned the shocking fact that, contrary to Islam’s teaching that the Qur’an, revealed by Allah himself, is complete and unchanging, it was written in hundreds of different versions over 1500 years.
그리고 이슬람의 노예 산업 역사는 700년대부터 근대에 이르기까지 매우 오래되었고 그 규모 역시 수억 명을 팔아온 큰 규모였다는 것입니다. 보통 아프리카 노예 문제가 나오면 미국을 떠올리기 마련인데 전체 노예로 팔려 간 인구 중 미국으로 간 노예는 5% 정도 밖에 안된다는 통계를 듣고이슬람의 노예 시장의 규모를 가늠할 수 있었습니다. 마을을 약탈한 후 노예들을 끌고 사막을 건너면서 5명중 4명이 죽었다고 하니 노예 무역으로 인해 목숨을 잃은 사람들의 수는 상상하기 힘들 정도였습니다.
And the history of the slave industry in Islam is very long, from the 700s to modern times, and it was a very large one, selling hundreds of millions of people. When you think of African slavery, you think of the United States, but when I heard the statistic that only about 5% of the total number of people who were sold into slavery went to the United States, it gave me a sense of the size of the slave market in Islam. It’s hard to imagine the number of people who lost their lives in the slave trade when you hear that four out of five slaves died as they were dragged across the desert after looting villages.
또한 모하메드가 알라의 이름으로 약탈을 일삼고 전쟁의 노획물 중 성인 남자는 모두 죽이고 남자 아이는 노예로, 여자는 성 노리개로 삼았다는 쿠란의 기록에 대해 인류 역사상 최악의 인신매매범이라는 한 역사학자의 평가가 가장 적확한 표현이었습니다.이런 놀라운 선교 강의를 들으면서 왜 이런 끔직한 살인과 노예 제도를 종교 교리로 정한 이슬람교에 대한 비판이 없다는 것이 이상했습니다. 그리고 아직도 이슬람 교의 영향 하에 있는 수많은 사람들과 최근에 한국까지 포교 활동을 하고 있는 것을 보면서 경각심을 갖게 되었습니다. 최근 네옴 시티 프로젝트로 한국에 방문했던 빈살만과 만나기 위해 한국 대기업 총수들이 줄 섰던 뉴스를 보면서 오일 머니의 위력과 그 뒤에 숨어 있는 이슬람교의 이면을 알게 되면서 깨어있지 않으면 안되겠다고 묵상했습니다.
Also, one historian’s assessment that Mohammed was the worst human trafficker in human history was the most accurate description of the Quranic account of Mohammed’s plundering in the name of Allah, killing all adult males among the spoils of war, enslaving boys and girls, and using women as sex puppets.As I listened to these amazing mission lectures, I wondered why there was no criticism of Islam, a religion that has made such horrific murder and slavery a religious tenet, and I was alarmed to see how many people are still under the influence of Islam and how it has recently spread to Korea. As I watched the news about the heads of Korean conglomerates lining up to meet with Binsalman, who was recently in Korea for the Neighborhood City project, I realized the power of oil money and the Islamism behind it, and it forced me to stay awake.
기회가 되어 선교사님 부부와 함께 식사를 하며 교제를 할 수 있었는데 그가 걸어온 길은 정말 드라마틱 했습니다. 노동하는 인텔리를 하나님은 좋아하신다고 하며 유머스럽게 말씀하시는 선교사님은 에너지가 넘치시고 사모님의 기도의 말씀은 부드럽지만 권위와 능력이 있었습니다. 하나님의 일을 동역한다는 것이 이런 것이구나하고 느낄 수 있는 시간이었고 단 한순간의 경험도 낭비없이 하나님은 사용하신다는 그의 말에서 지난주 주일 설교 말씀이 떠올랐습니다. 바로 황충이 갉아먹은 낭비된 인생을 하나님은 한순간에 회복시킨다는 말씀이었습니다.
I had the opportunity to have a meal and fellowship with the missionary and his wife, and it was quite dramatic. The missionary was full of energy as he spoke with humor about how God loves hardworking intellects, and his wife’s words of prayer were soft but authoritative and powerful. It was a time when I felt that this is what it is like to be a partner in God’s work, and his words about how God uses every single experience without wasting it reminded me of the sermon from last Sunday. He said that God restores wasted lives that have been gnawed away by the yellow worm in an instant.
시간가는 줄 모르고 대화와 간증이 이어지고 함께 맛있는 식사를 하고 모임을 주선하신 자매님의 댁으로 이동하여 티타임으로 이어진 교제의 시간은 마치 천국같은 행복한 시간이었습니다. 다음 만남이 벌써부터 기대됩니다.
The time of fellowship was heavenly, with conversations and testimonies flying by, followed by a delicious meal and a tea time at the home of the sister who organized the gathering. I am already looking forward to our next meeting.
