We participated in the ‘Metaverse Expo 2023’ held at COEX with an Agora booth. As this was a time when the entire company was streamlining marketing expenses, this exhibition—which proceeded with special approval from headquarters—held particular significance because it was prepared in collaboration with headquarters personnel.

Thanks to thorough pre-planning, everything flowed smoothly—from screening demo videos and live technical demonstrations to my session presentation. An unexpected turn of events occurred when far more visitors than anticipated flooded in, quickly depleting our prepared brochures. We urgently reprinted brochures at the office and provided QR codes on-site for immediate PDF downloads, ensuring no disruption in visitor support. This exhibition particularly highlighted ‘value for money’ and ‘teamwork’. To save on expensive booth equipment rental fees, we personally purchased a 42-inch TV for 50,000 won on Carrot Market. We also handcrafted shopping bags and t-shirts with our team members. This process naturally strengthened our bonds, yielding an additional benefit.

On the first day, we guarded the booth while eating kimbap for meals, thanks to the relentless stream of visitors. Throughout the rest of the exhibition period, it was rewarding to witness the intense interest in Agora’s technological capabilities. On the final day, filming the closing video while chatting away with the wireless microphone we’d prepared, and then dismantling the booth, felt bittersweet yet deeply satisfying. I believe it was also a great opportunity for our newly hired Solution Architect (SA) colleague to communicate with headquarters team members and deepen their understanding of the company.

Coincidentally, the ‘Seoul International Book Fair’ was taking place in the adjacent exhibition hall. I stopped by the booth of Human Cube Publishing, who will publish my book, bought some books, and soaked up the atmosphere, gaining inspiration as a future author. It was a truly fulfilling and intense week, marking another important milestone in Agora’s history.
