Prophecies of the Third Temple

Recently, I was deeply shocked after watching a lecture on the Third Temple of Israel on ‘Brad TV,’ run by Director Kim Jong-cheol of the documentary film <Recovery>. The news was that plans to build a third temple on the Jerusalem holy site are moving beyond mere conception and gradually becoming reality.

What was most astonishing was the fact that preparations for the ‘burnt offering’—sacrificing a red heifer to recreate the Old Testament sacrificial practices—had been finalized through meticulous historical research. Having personally visited Jerusalem during a family trip in 2014, I felt firsthand how sensitive and sacred that place is to Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, making this news hit even harder. The fact that a public campaign for the Temple’s reconstruction was even conducted on a crowdfunding platform like ‘Indiegogo’ demonstrates how popular and tangible this movement is.

News that the Temple Institute has produced a golden menorah and sacrificial tools, and is selecting and training descendants of the High Priest through rigorous verification, proves this is not an event by a small group of ultra-Orthodox Jews. Particularly with Israel’s recent political situation aligning with Orthodox Jewish forces, the Temple reconstruction has emerged as a national and political agenda.

As we witness the prophecies of the Bible coming together piece by piece, we realize that the final hour on God’s timeline is very near. While it may appear to some as an incomprehensible religious obsession, to us who see with the eyes of faith, it approaches with the unease and gravity of signs of the world’s end.

Yet, precisely in times like these, we must maintain an alert posture rather than succumbing to fear. Rather than being swayed by the chaotic news of the world, we should faithfully live out the day given to us today and fulfill our role as spiritual watchmen. I resolve that this is surely the most proper attitude for us living in this age.
