I read Pastor David Wilkerson’s prophetic book Visions and Signs of the Last Days. First published in 1974 based on revelations he received in 1973, the book has since been revised, and its content was truly astonishing and shocking. What was even more astonishing was the fact that most of those prophecies are still being fulfilled today.
The book contained very detailed and specific prophecies regarding the problems of modern society—such as the economic crisis in Europe, the earthquake in Japan, economic turmoil in the United States, the flood of senseless and obscene content, moral decay, and the rise in suicides—and it also included passages about the persecution and tribulation that Christians will face in the future. As I watched prophecies—such as the occurrence of extreme weather events alongside phenomena that cannot be scientifically explained, and the chaos caused by global earthquakes—come true one by one, I became convinced that this was indeed the word of God spoken through a prophet.
However, even amid these signs of the end times, God is seeking out true Christians, and through His Word—which assures us that everything is part of His plan—I found comfort, peace, and hope. I became convinced that this is part of God’s gracious plan to save even more souls in the last days, and I was grateful that He had helped me realize this truth.
