Just a week ago, news that Charlie Kirk, who had personally addressed the BuildUp Korea Conference, had been shot suddenly broke as breaking news on X. Even when the White House official channel formally announced his death just hours later, it still felt unreal. But it wasn’t until I saw the shocking footage of him collapsing with blood streaming from his neck amid a deafening bang during his speech that I truly accepted he was dead. I prayed for his soul and his grieving family. It was highly unusual for President Trump to personally convey the news of Charlie Kirk’s death, a civilian, and deliver a message of condolence. Yet, witnessing American society as a whole mourn and rage over the death of one individual made me even more curious about who Charlie Kirk truly was. I had listened to his podcasts and speeches on YouTube before, but it wasn’t until after his death that I realized just how influential he was. In short, he was someone who, like Daniel who refused to compromise with injustice, dedicated his life to God. He was the founder and CEO of TurningPoint USA, a grassroots political activist who played a decisive role in President Trump’s re-election, and especially a prophet-like figure who awakened young people through debates on American university campuses. Watching videos of him debating one-on-twenty-five with liberal College students, I was amazed by his erudition and logical reasoning. His refusal to dismiss opponents with differing views, striving instead to engage them in earnest dialogue to the very end, was truly admirable.
His tragic death in front of thousands of spectators was truly shocking and felt like a nightmare to those around the world who supported and loved him. Afterwards, U.S. law enforcement immediately began searching for the perpetrator. Media outlets reported that a college student named Tyler Robinson had shot him dead with a sniper rifle from a roof, fled, and was later apprehended after his father reported him. However, even considering common sense, it was hard to believe that a college student, not a professional sniper, could kill Charlie Kirk with a single shot to the neck from such a distance. Analysis also suggested that at that range, his body would have been thrown backward upon impact, and blood would have splattered everywhere, making the claim highly implausible. Furthermore, the security guard’s hand signals and movements immediately before the shooting, along with his actions—which didn’t appear to be administering emergency care behind the table after knocking Kirk down from his seat—were highly unusual. Amid the chaotic scene, suspicious interactions between security personnel, such as exchanging something, and footage from bystanders’ phones showing them filming the fallen Kirk began surfacing on X over time. Among these, the most compelling theories were that Charlie Kirk was shot by a concealed weapon disguised as a lapel mic he was wearing, and that a second assassin aimed and fired from behind using a small gun disguised as a camera, as suggested by video analysis.
Moreover, Candace Owens, a former colleague and influencer of Charlie Kirk, revealed on her channel that Charlie Kirk had received threats disguised as political support from the Israeli government, amounting to a staggering $150 million. Indeed, examining his podcast statements before his death reveals he frequently made remarks likely to displease the Israeli government. Private messages with acquaintances also indicate he could no longer maintain a pro-Israel stance, suggesting he faced significant financial and political pressure from Jewish interests within the United States. Furthermore, through the backstory of Charlie Kirk attempting to investigate suspicious financial issues within Turning Point USA, it became clear that threats surrounded him both inside and outside the organization. Finally, witnessing his wife Erica Kirk’s overly polished speech and unnatural behavior at his funeral immediately after his death, one couldn’t shake the feeling that all of this was a planned charade.
Furthermore, in his speech at Build Up Korea, he also mentioned threats against the Republic of Korea, which seemed connected to the globalism that had built a massive cartel, as mentioned in the letter President Yoon Suk-yeol sent to Ambassador Morse Tan while in prison. Yet he stood firm before injustice, feared no evil, and never wavered in his convictions. Seeing him endure the world’s hatred and ultimately lose his life made me realize anew what it truly means to keep one’s faith. As a civilian, I too struggled to discern the truth amidst the flood of information and the limitations of accessible data. Yet one thing is certain: nothing is more precious than faith, and through that faith, he met Jesus in heaven. Had he succumbed to evil’s threats for his life in that final moment, President Trump would not have honored him, nor would the White House have flown flags at half-mast. That is why I resolved to emulate Brother Charlie Kirk’s brief yet eternally radiant Christian life. Just as Satan and his followers rejoiced briefly at Jesus’ death only to be utterly defeated three days later by His resurrection, I am certain that the world, which rejoiced briefly at Charlie Kirk’s death, will ultimately be defeated, and Jesus and those Christians who believe in Him will triumph. Though he is no longer with us, I believe that through him, more people will awaken, fight against injustice, and speak the truth. #IAMCHARLIEKIRK
