Watching Hwang Kyo-ahn, the leader of the Liberty and Innovation Party, deliver a speech at CPAC—the largest conservative conference in the United States—over the weekend, I was struck by the thought that God is the master of history. Hwang’s address, which I encountered via the YouTube channel of Kim Sang-hyun, CEO of Kukdae Tteokbokki, at a time no one could have anticipated, felt like an attack order signaling the full-scale advance of U.S. and South Korean forces following the success of a second Incheon Landing Operation. Referring to the ROK-U.S. Mutual Defense Treaty as the foundation of the alliance, Chairman Hwang requested assistance from President Trump and Congress, citing reports that South Korea was in crisis due to election interference by the Chinese Communist Party. Although his remarks were delivered through an interpreter, his voice and expression conveyed a sense of solemn determination and the urgency of the crisis.
The United States was effectively wrapping up the war with Iran and preparing to negotiate with the new regime. Iranian citizens were already in a standoff with the Revolutionary Guards, and with a rebellion breaking out within the military, the Islamic regime was effectively collapsed. Thanks to Dr. Lee Chun-geun’s precise analysis of the situation, I learned that as soon as the war began, Supreme Leader Khamenei and approximately 49 other high-ranking officials had been eliminated. I also learned that Khamenei’s son, the designated successor, had either died or was incapacitated, leading me to expect that freedom would soon come to Iran.
Sure enough, Prince Reza Pahlavi of the Iranian Pahlavi dynasty—who had already appeared on social media and in U.S. news—took the stage as the final keynote speaker at CPAC and delivered a historic speech titled “Make Iran Great Again,” announcing the restoration of the monarchy. His speech, urging us to imagine a country that exports AI engineers to the world instead of terrorists, presented a brilliant and clear vision. A U.S. Marine Corps division had already been rushed to the Strait of Hormuz and had taken control of the area, and peace through strength was being established across the Middle East. Furthermore, the U.S. was working to stabilize oil prices by releasing strategic reserves into the market and preventing Iranian oil from flowing illegally into China. Meanwhile, in South Korea, 900,000 barrels of strategic reserves stored in Ulsan were secretly shipped overseas, and suspicions have even been raised that this oil ultimately flowed into North Korea via China. Whether this is due to the incompetence of the Korea National Oil Corporation or constitutes treason is unclear, but what is certain is that it does nothing to help stabilize soaring oil prices. Fortunately, I received livelihood support payment to use for fuel costs, but I feel uneasy knowing that I will ultimately be passing this debt on to my children.
Finally, seeing the resurfaced allegations of academic fraud against Representative Lee Jun-seok, I recalled his past words and deeds, the allegations of sexual favors, and the bizarre stance he took during the recent debate on election fraud, when he spoke on behalf of the National Election Commission. Looking at his fabricated resume, I was reminded of a guy from my neighborhood who used to pretend to be a college student. I am reminded of that family who, in an attempt to cover up a small lie, ended up spreading an even bigger one, only to be exposed, bringing shame upon the entire household before eventually disappearing. I pray earnestly that this society will be cleansed as soon as possible.
