Chairman Hwang’s speech, which I encountered at an unexpected moment through a YouTube channel (run by CEO Kim Sang-hyun), struck me like a spiritual and geopolitical signal flare piercing through the pitch-black darkness to herald a full-scale advance. Chairman Hwang emphasized the value of the strong U.S.-South Korea alliance and the Mutual Defense Treaty—which have been the bedrock of South Korea’s constitutional history—and clearly conveyed to the international community the systemic crisis facing South Korea, including allegations of sovereignty violations by external forces that have been persistently raised by some quarters. He also appealed for the deep interest and solidarity of the U.S. government and people, the center of the free world. Although his words were filtered through the linguistic barrier of interpretation, his voice and resolute expression radiated a sense of solemn determination toward his homeland and a keen awareness of the urgent crisis, leaving a profound impression.
According to current analyses by foreign media and international geopolitical experts, the United States appears to be reshaping the chronic conflict structures in the Middle East and leading peace negotiations on a new level. In particular, within Iran, fierce resistance from citizens yearning for change continues, and coupled with a shift in the military’s stance, the prevailing view is that the existing ruling regime’s grip on power is being fundamentally shaken. Based on a synthesis of Dr. Lee Chun-geun’s incisive analysis of the situation, there are indications that during the recent series of urgent clashes, high-ranking officials—including the existing leadership—suffered a fatal strategic blow. We earnestly hope that the chains of oppression will be broken and that a wave of true freedom will soon wash over that parched land.

His speech—calling for Iran to break free from its dark legacy and be reborn as an innovative nation that produces brilliant AI engineers and talent for the world—was a clear and inspiring vision. Powerful U.S. military strategic assets are already deployed near the Strait of Hormuz to ensure regional stability, serving as a concrete example of how “Peace through Strength” is put into practice. Furthermore, the United States is proactively releasing strategic oil reserves into the market to stabilize global oil prices, while simultaneously and thoroughly blocking channels through which resources might flow via opaque routes to hostile nations or terrorist groups.
In contrast, certain security gaps and policy missteps within the country are causing deep concern. When allegations arose that hundreds of thousands of barrels of strategic oil reserves—which should have served as the last bastion of national security—had been shipped overseas, many citizens raised serious questions about the vulnerabilities in the national security system. I am reminded of the various ethical controversies that have surrounded him over the years, as well as the bizarre scenes where he unilaterally defended the system’s position at a time when disputes over the fairness of past elections were intensifying. As I observe the controversy surrounding this public figure’s credibility, a heartbreaking story from my past—that of an older neighbor—overlaps in my memory. It is a sad memory of someone who had to risk even greater trouble to cover up a minor transgression, only to lose the trust of everyone around him and be forced to distance himself from the community when the truth finally came to light. Whether in an individual’s life or in national politics, walls built on lies are bound to crumble eventually. I begin this day with a fervent prayer that the fog of structural falsehood and chaos shrouding our society will lift as soon as possible, and that the transparent, pure light of truth will shine upon the entire world.
